Salary: $28.00 USD Hourly - $31.00 USD Hourly

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Registered Nurse- Neuro ICU in Castro Valley, CA!

Location: Castro Valley, CA Shift: Night (3x12-Hour, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Start Date: May 19, 2025 Duration: 13 weeks Positions Available: 1

About The Role

Sutter Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Neuro ICU to provide specialized care for critically ill neurological patients. This position requires strong clinical expertise in neurocritical care, patient monitoring, and managing complex cases in a high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced critical care to neurosurgical and neurological patients
  • Manage 1:2 patient ratios in a Neuro ICU unit
  • Administer and monitor treatment plans, including specialized interventions
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Float to ED, Step-Down Unit, or Central Monitoring Department as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 2 years required, including at least 1 year of Neuro ICU experience Certifications:

  • California RN license (must be in hand at submission)
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIH Stroke Certification Preferred Certifications: TNCC

Additional Information

  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Technology: EPIC documentation, Pyxis medication system
  • Orientation: 16 hours provided
  • Float Requirement: May float to ED, Step-Down Unit, or Central Monitoring Department
